We value community. We believe church is people living life together and helping one another to love God, to love each other and love others.

We’ve groups to give us time to gather as friends, and times to encourage and equip each other.

Tiny Little Me

Tiny Little Me is for children aged 0-4 years, and we meet on a Wednesday (term time) between 10.00 and 11:30 am in the church.

During the session (costing £1 per family) juice and a snack keep the children going at full steam while the adults can enjoy a tea or coffee.
We are a fun, friendly toddler group with a great bunch of volunteers ready to welcome you to a fun and safe environment.

Toddlers play, enjoy craft activities, story time and singing! We look forward to seeing you!

Junior Church (3 to 10 yrs)

Living Life to the full!

Pre-schoolers to school year 6 – or three to eleven year olds – are very much part of the Welcome church family. The church meets at 10:30am on a Sunday morning and as part of that service there is specific teaching in age appropriate groups.

The children hear Bible stories and explore Biblical truths as we believe these are foundational to living life to the full. The children are divided into four age groups and enjoy various craft activities that help them remember what they have learned.

There is a Fun Day at Easter for all the children to get involve in and a holiday club that runs in the summer.

Youth group

Welcome has a very active youth work for 11 – early 20s.

Energetic outdoor activities, weekends away, attending Christian festivals or getting involved with other organisations are all ways for us to do life together and make lasting friendships.

On Sunday mornings we find fun, creative and relevant ways to explore the Bible with InSight for school years 7-9 and FOCUS for years 10 & 11.

‘Where my faith and my life meet my culture’ is our challenging title for the FUSION group for years 11-13 who meet at 6pm on alternate Sundays.

Friday Night Fun (FnF) is a social club for all young people in secondary school and college. Have fun, play games, meet your friends and experience a little more of Jesus each Friday at 7pm.

Welcome groups, weekly – growing community

A people living life together (the ups and the downs) and helping one another to love God more, to love each other more and love those in our neighbourhood and beyond.

We meet in homes throughout the town most weeks. The size of the Welcome group enables people to share, pray and discuss Bible themes/topics in an informal setting. Welcome group is also a great place to get to know others in the church community.
One Welcome group member said: “Welcome group is where we get to know each other better – draw more together as a family.

Ladies time out

At Welcome ladies of all ages believe that living life to the full should include a bit of fun and relaxation!

We aim to meet once a month. There are lots of opportunities to build friendships and encourage one another. Often the evening has a spiritual focus but sometimes we just spend time relaxing together.

Our busy lives and many commitments mean we can’t all meet on the same day of the week so we vary the meeting night each month to enable as many ladies as possible to come at least sometimes.

We would love to meet you whether you attend Welcome church or not so come and join us if you feel in need of a little R & R!

Men’s activities and events

Men’s activities are about great food, friendship, and the opportunity for adventure. We love a curry, a bit of golf, football and head out on our bikes or go off on walking & kayaking weekend. Meeting up together is a great way to get to know other guys in church.

There is weekly Tuesday night football (see below) and we get together for regular curry evenings and golf days to suit all standards!
